20-keys professional level kalimba with notes spreading from left to right splitted between to rows (lower row "even", upper row "odd"). It yields different thinking in improvisation scenario, more common to piano players - each hand play own register completely. Bass for left and treble for right.
Acoustics is very good and has its own unique character - sound is extremely bright and loud. It is one of the loudest kalimbas we ever seen! Sensitivity is very high - easiest touch produces strong result and it lasts very long. It filling completely room of typical living size. But at louder levels all typical kalimba buzzing become hearable better too and require more attention to tines movement and position tuning.
Size and shape is typical and convenient. Reaching tines with left finger requires some time to get used to. Space between tines is big, especially between rows.
It is a must-have instrument in addition to common centered layout for changing improvisation thinking. And, of course, it can be first.
