Classic African Mbira of standard size with typical sound - loud sound with sharp attack and quick fade out in the beginning and long, quiet overtone tale, singing in the background. Reeds are hards, but sensitivity is high - even gentle touch produces distinctive sound. Dynamics varies greatly from increasing pressure force. Tips are big and rounded, but polishing not ideal.
Overall character of DJ mbiras is moderately raw and bright. Great instrument for fast playing.
